Name my dress form, please!

How is everyone tonite? I'm tired, more tired than I should be for being on summer vacation. The only thing I've felt like doing lately is rummaging around antique stores and thrifting. Lovely bits of lace and vintage slips....aaahhh, pure bliss.
That reminds me, although I didn't get my metal dress form at an antique store, she sure looks like a lovely vintage prop.
I've been trying to think of a fitting name her.
I know it's silly, but every time I refer to 'her', I feel like I need to call her something besides 'the mannequin'. I thought about having a contest to find her a name, although I don't exactly have a huge readership *yet* plus a ton of people are out of town on vacations and such, and away from their computers. But, it sounds like fun, so I will give it a go~ I will send a little package of handmade ♥ GOODIES ♥ to anyone who comes up with a name I love.
Here's another picture of her:

Sound good? ok, so I can't wait to hear what you all come up with. I'll leave it open until I get a name I like.
Also, a lovely vintage slip got some pink and cream attention in the form of tulle, lace, and chiffon. More of these to come, including long versions of full slips for vintage inspired weddings! They are available HERE ~ Brides will be so happy:

$260.00 (including domestic shipping)

$ 88.00 (including domestic shipping)

hope you all come up with some interesting names!
ciao chickadees!

Wow - she's beautiful.

Now I only ever manage to come up with corny names. My boys are Mark and Johnny (John) - a testament to my indecision and lack of naming imagination. So I'm not sure you should pay any attention to suggestions from me.

But having said that - how about Shona (on the grounds that you use her to show us stuff). Or Ethel.

See, I warned you.

Wow, what a gorgeous "Jewel", a, er, mannequin! I think you should name her Jewel! She really and truly looks like a pretty jewel.......I'm envious and have been looking for a long time, and can't find one for under $150! Yikes! The rattier the more $$$$$$$$. Huh?! Anyhow, love the outfits and aprons and hat(s) and all! You are totally talented! Glad I found your blog!

That is the most amazing dress form I have ever seen! How about Curly or Curly Sue, since she's curly.
At a place I used to work, we named all the mannequins and dress forms. One was Ms. V because she was made of metal and had a V in her lower regions. :D

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

She's so beautiful and elegant that I immediately thought something french... like Madame Coco? (or maybe she's madamoiselle)

MISS ARBRE
(Arbre is Tree in French)
we hang our clothes from tree's or from tree to tree, or on a branch. Trees take on beautiful shapes as your dress form does.
No too are alike.
Full of life & beauty.
Just like you.
well.... that's my two cents worth. haha.
I just came across your profile, I LOVE all your designs. I just started etsy & still haven't found time yet, I just had a baby (5th girl) : ) sooo im slowly getting used to this BLOG & etsy world etc... She is an Ella to me (or a double name would fit to, like Ella-Marie or Ella-Pimpinella), I can't wait to see what name you pick!

Thanks for visiting my blog and adding such a sweet comment!

Oh my gosh- she's the prettiest dress form I'm ever seen. I just realized, I've never named my mannequins- I'm sure they are suffering from a major identity crisis!. Here are some ideas- totally off the top of my head- Lulu, Tappatte, Birdie, Rosemarie, Taylor (like Tailor- get it?). Your blog sure is fun!

Bernadette. The bare version of her reminded me of Bernadette Peters in a slinky dress....don't ask me why...that just popped in my head....maybe all the "curls" reminded me of her curly hair.

Beautiful dress form. Penelope is a whimsical name. She looks like she is a lady in waiting as was Penelope for Odysseus.

Wow againt! How how things happen...I too am a christian and artist. A good friend of mine has a dress form she decorated for Christmas. It is beautiful. I took a photo and want to do a painting of it.
I was looking around for a name for it and did not realize there are others who have these things and name them!!!

I think that she looks like a beautiful vine with flowers so a name like "Scarlet Honeysuckle" suits her in my eyes.

Have a super day!
